Pumpkin Pickin' Party

Our friends the Cooneys had a super fun pumpkin picking party this weekend.  It was awesome, the boys had a great time, we had a great time...there was yummy food, pumpkins, bounce houses, hay rides, caramel apples, kids all dressed up...it was the perfect afternoon.  The Cooneys definitely know how to throw a party!

When we first arrived we went to the little pumpkin patch in the backyard where there were pumpkins everywhere.  The kids all got to pick their favorite to take and decorate.  We have a serious love of pumpkins going on in our household and Ethan was more than happy to run around and play with all of the punkees.

Evan...who is now even more glued to us after being sick and in the hospital, took it all in for a while before venturing to pick his out.

My favorites...the teeny tiny white ones.

Evan always has to have everything in it's place and kept trying to put his pumpkin back after we handed it to him...that's where we found them so that's where they stay...right??

Once the pumpkins were all picked out we took a little path and headed over to decorate them, eat some, food, jump in the bouncers and hang out with friends.  Along the way I thought about trying to get a cute picture with the boys on some hay...no such luck but the outtakes are cute.

There was a tent all set up with tables for the kids to do their decorating with glitter glue, googly eyes {our favorite}, stickers, pipe cleaners, sequins...everything you could imagine to make a pumpkin look spectacular!

We chose two little pumpkins to take with us and I think I had as much fun decorating them as the boys did.

Of course it was just as much fun taking off the googly eyes once they were on...oh how we love eyes!

Most of the time Evan was by my side or wanting us to hold him so there are a few more pictures of Ethan {who really could have cared less if we were there...he was all about finding the fun}.

He found a donkey...

Saw his friend Cullen {and his CHIPS}...

And best of all had a blast in the bounce house...he could have played there all night long.

With partner in crime Campbell.

After a yummy BBQ dinner we spent the end of the evening hanging out by the fire to keep warm.  The last few pictures show how truly worn out and tired the E's were.  No one wanted to take a picture, Evan wouldn't even look at the camera and was eating his shirt {so like his daddy when he was little}...it was a fun afternoon of pumpkin picking and boy were we exhausted on our way home.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this time of year!?!?  Can't wait for pumpkin time to roll around again next year!
