My Boys

Because I'm up at 2:00 in the morning watching all of the royal wedding hullabaloo, I thought it would also be a good time to share a couple of my favorite pictures from the last few weeks.  More pictures to come from all of our Easter celebrating.  I'm thinking tomorrow I'm going to be REALLY tired!

He is Risen...He is Risen Indeed!

So...the boys don't quite get the whole meaning behind Easter...still a tad young this year.  I'm looking forward to next year when they start to understand it a little bit more.  Here are just a few pictures from this year...

Yummy cookies full of all kinds of chocolatey goodness, sprinkled with mini cadbury eggs...LOVE mini cadbury eggs.  If they weren't going in the cookies I may have just eaten the whole bag by myself.

Evan "helping" me make chicken pot pie crumble for dinner.

He was very fascinated with getting to watch it cook in the oven.

Our yummy meal...Chicken Pot Pie Crumble, Fruit Salad, and Strawberry Shortcake {made by our friend Teresa who joined us for dinner}.

The boys getting a look at everything in their baskets...bubbles, bouncy balls, teddy grahams, goldfish crackers, Reese's PB eggs...

Bouncy Balls and Peanut Butter Eggs...could the day get any better?

Playing with the new xylophone also brought by the Easter Bunny.

Hangin' With The Cousins

Every year my brother, his wife Kristi, and all of her family go to Salado for Easter.  Since this means they pass through Waco {generally around lunchtime} we get to eat lunch with them.  Lunch spot of choice...Ninfa's of course, which is where we met them yesterday.  It has definitely changed a bit from two years ago when Carson was the only kiddo.  Now we have four crazy boys tearing it up together!

Running around outside after the meal is a definite MUST!

Carson way up ahead with the three little ones following behind.

Uncle Matt flying Evan through the air.

Carson...pretty sure that being the oldest he will help us parents keep the younger ones in line in the coming years!

Boys and rocks and sticks and dirt and grass and mud...oh the joys!!

I have FOREVER wanted a picture of the four of them together.  We attempted it and the above picture is the best we got.  Most of the time the boys were all doing their own thing...the outtakes below are quite entertaining...

First...Caden wanted to get down off the bench.

"Hey, where's he going???"

Once Caden got back up, Evan wanted down...

...and Ethan wanted to stand up.

And then there was Carson, sitting so patiently...probably wondering why he had to endure picture taking with the other three jokers!  I'm pretty sure picture taking with the four of them is not going to get any easier for a while...maybe in 10 years?  For now I will just enjoy all of the hilarious outtakes!

Easter Eggs

I have been in a total non-blogging mood for the last few weeks.  No motivation whatsoever to edit pictures and stay up late typing...cause that's when it always seems to get done.  Plus we have been snotty at our house {seriously thought we were done with that for a while} and Evan had a bout with Croup...SO. NOT. FUN!  Besides going out to lunch with Jeff we have stayed home and hung out quite a bit lately.

I got the boys some Easter eggs so they could play with them and practice hunting them a little before this Sunday.  They have been quite entertained...

We went to a birthday party a few weeks ago where Ethan and Evan got to participate in an egg hunt...a great trial run for Sunday!  They had so much fun and amazed me with how they just seemed to know what to do.  As party favors they got bunny ear headbands to wear which Ethan thinks should be worn around the neck instead.  The crazy child actually wore them like this for a good part of today.  Goofy should have been his middle name!

So...a completely uneventful few weeks where the only exciting thing that has happened is me annoying my children by taking so many pictures!!

Breckenridge: Part Four {house pics}

So this may be an extremely non-interseting post for most folks but here are a few pictures of the inside of the Colorado house.  I love this house...my favorite part...the heated floors.  EVERY house should have heated floors...my feet were so happy when I got up every morning!

The pictures {in my opinion} are not awesome...I took them really fast right before we left to go home.  Decorating is still in process...

The main area of the house...family room, kitchen, and eating area.  I am standing at the front door.  The stairs and hallway to the master bedroom, powder room, and laundry room are to the right.

Standing by the kitchen table looking toward the front door and stairs.

Kitchen pics...

Master Bedroom
{closet door is to the right of the bed and the bathroom is to the left of where I am standing}

Master Bath

Powder Room

Not a great pic, but it helps to show the layout...I am standing at the door to the laundry room.  The master bedroom is to my right, the powder room to the left, and the hallway leads to the family room/kitchen/breakfast area.

At the top of the stairs is another little sitting area.

Upstairs Bedroom {where we stayed}

The other upstairs bedroom and bathroom...the bed had not been set up yet so this was where the boys' pack and play and all of their toys went.

And because the last picture is just a tad too boring to end a post with...here is a picture of the mountains as we were driving out of town.  So, so pretty!

Breckenridge: Part Three {snow fun}

Our last night in Breckenridge it snowed pretty much non-stop and we woke up to a beautiful morning.  I have decided I LOVE being in the snow.  I would probably get sick of it if I had to live with it all of the time but visiting it is awesome.  I took a few outside pictures around the house before we took the boys out in it for some fun.

Standing out on the street looking at the house.

The driveway.

Looking down the street.

Looking up the street {slopes are in the background}.

Closer view of the ski slopes.

River behind the house...I'm thinking those are some pretty cold ducks!

Ethan getting ready to go outside.  Kids in snow clothes...cutest thing ever!  It was so funny watching them try to walk around with the heavy boots.

Where Evan pretty much stayed until Jeff picked him up.  He kept falling over when he stood up...it took him a while to figure out the walking.

True to his personality Ethan was all go and had no fear.  He got right on the sled and let Jeff pull him around.  Evan was a little more apprehensive.  He wouldn't keep his hat on and fought me on his gloves.  Jeff's dad held him a majority of the time, where he was happy to stay.

Ethan loved it and was very fascinated by the snow on his gloves.

Taking a break to play with the buckets and shovels.

Taking the buckets for a ride...

Evan finally decided he was OK with walking in the snow...as long as Jeff's dad wasn't too far behind.

Going over the little hill, which Ethan thought was hilarious.

Our attempt at getting a picture with the two boys together...one making sure Grandpa wasn't too far away and the other too concerned with the snow to pay attention.

Eating the snow.

Playing on the back porch with daddy.

Evan was happy to watch from inside...completely mesmerized by them playing.

It was a super fun day of playing in the snow.  I can't wait to take Ethan and Evan back for more fun!
