17 1/2 Weeks

It's hard to believe that I am closing in on being 18 weeks pregnant. It feels like yesterday we were just finding out and now we are almost half way done...which is fine with me. November will not come soon enough, I can't wait to meet our precious babies.

Everything looked great at our 15 week appointment a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised to get to have another ultrasound, which I didn't think would happen. Both were measuring right at 15 weeks and were moving around like crazy. We were hoping to maybe see if we had boys or girls on the way, but my doctor couldn't tell yet. Our "big" ultrasound is on June 30th and hopefully we will know then...only a little over a week to go!! Then I can start buying things. We have furniture narrowed down to a few choices and I already have ideas going through my head of what I want the nursery to look like. To make things easier on me, the babies are going to share a room for the first few years no matter what combo of boys/girls we have.

I am feeling way better now. The only thing that still gives me somewhat of an issue is my vitamin...I don't throw it up anymore it just makes me feel a little sick. I haven't had any major cravings like I thought I would. Some of the stuff I do enjoy eating...salt and vinegar chips, jalapenos, mustard instead of ketchup for dipping fries/tator tots, banana peppers, chips and salsa, Uncle Dan's BBQ, and any and all fruit. I haven't really wanted sweets, which I never loved when I wasn't pregnant. One bite of a cookie and I generally don't want the rest. Vegetables I'm also not loving, which is sad because I usually love my veggies. The most depressing part of all my eating is that I can't stand Chick-Fil-A (Boo!)...even now just the smell of the restaurant rubs me the wrong way. Before I was pregnant we ate there at least twice a week...Jeff now has to go without me or I just order fruit and a drink and then eat something else...SO SO SAD! I hope the Chick-Fil-A love returns once the babies come.

Below is my 17 week belly shot. I swore to myself I would never lift my shirt and do the belly pic for all to see, but since I'm still pretty little and my mom isn't around to see me on a daily basis this picture is for her. I will do more belly pics later but this will be the LAST time my actual belly will be showing.

Here are a few more below...

I am modeling in my first actual purchase of maternity clothes...very comfy, very cute. If you live in Waco go visit Baby Wait...I loved all of the clothes. I didn't like how my hands were resting on my belly in the above picture, but it shows off the cute skirt a little more. I like the pic below much better with the hands below the belly.

Now that the bump is actually showing (and I'm pretty sure I have felt a few little movements) it is becoming more and more real. The miracle of carrying these babies just amazes me everyday...I pretty much wake up smiling every morning.

First of all congratulation for your pregnancy hun! I arrived on your blog randomly and I really liked it! Now it's on my favorites list. I'm a mum of a little boy called Marlow and I really enjoy reading other mummy stories online. Have you picked a name for baby yet? The name you pick for your baby should be as unique as they are. I rememer I spent a lot of time chilling out choosing my baby names. Here a great link http://www.bounty.com/babynames/
Let us know how it's going!! Jo and her little Marlow

Amy...you look beautiful! We will be waiting anxiously on the 30th to hear!! And...I had trouble with my vitamins, too. Try taking them before you go to bed...that helped me.
Hugs from NM!
