I never posted any pictures of my fall leaves...which are now all over my backyard. Moose has found it fun to run through them, chew on them, eat them, etc. Seeing my tree's leaves change colors has been my favorite part of this fall. It was a requirement when we moved in our house that I had a few trees that didn't stay green all year. It's my way of feeling like we actually have a fall!

Moose and Brinkley pouting on Thanksgiving because they didn't get any turkey. This is a look they have mastered...I don't think they could be any more sad.

Moose and his ball. I finally have a dog that likes to play fetch! Brinkley will sometimes get the ball, but then won't bring it back. He thinks it's more fun for you to chase him and get the ball from him. Diego wouldn't play fetch if his life depended on it!

Seriously tired of me taking his picture!

What is now left of the red circle toy!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. I love decorating the house and was especially excited this year to finally have a house to decorate. Living in our duplex was crowded enough with just all of our furniture and everyday stuff...it was way too much to try and get anything out. The last time I decorated was 3 years ago at our house in Houston. Here are a few pictures of what I have started on...I'm still working on our garland and waiting for our stockings (which are on order from Pottery Barn).

My Santa and rocking horse reindeer...Moose is terrified of the Santa!

My new trees for the dining room table.

My helpers...right before I kicked Moose off the couch (he's still learning the rules).

I'm really not sure how I didn't see Moose get up on the couch. I have an extra tag on him so I can hear him jingle-jangle and know where he is at all times. It's too bad we have the no furniture rule...he looks so happy and peaceful!

My cousin, Sean, plays baseball at UC Irvine. I have been working on a scrapbook for my aunt for the last several months, and thought I would share a few of my favorite pictures. Jeff and I were able to see him play a couple of times...once when the team came to Houston, and then when they were in the Texas Regional. It was fun to see Sean play, especially in June, because we also got to see my aunt, uncle, and other cousin, Ryan. We drove down to Round Rock for all the games and got to introduce them to some yummy Texas food...Rudy's, Chuy's, and Salt Grass! We wish we could have gone to Omaha to see him in the College World Series, but we faithfully watched and supported him from our couch (with air condition!).

On another note...My mom called me yesterday to tell me that my other cousin, J.J., was offered a full-ride scholarship to play hockey at Western Michigan University. How awesome is that! I am so proud of my extremely talented cousins...clearly the athletic genes were not evenly distributed amongst the family!

The Real Reason We Moved to Waco

There's nothing quite like college basketball...Jeff and I have been waiting for this season to begin since the last one ended. We've had season tickets for the last 3 years and have made it to pretty much every game. BU played Washington State last night...the #6 team in the nation, which was quite exciting because we hadn't lost a game going into it. The final score was 67-64...a hard loss considering we were winning until the last 2 minutes of the game. With a packed house of crazy Baylor fans it was still a fun game to watch...sic 'em bears!
