Silver and a Rug

OK...totally random post of two things that don't really go together. First is a picture below of my Grandma's silver. I am the lucky one who gets to inherit this from her and my parents brought it with them when they came to visit. I always wanted my own silver but we didn't register for it when we got married...I thought it was too expensive, we needed way too many other things and would possibly get it at some point in time as we got older. Now what I have is even better...I get to use what once was my grandmother's. It is so much more meaningful and special to me and I will think of her every occasion we use it.

And...Here is a picture of the rug we ordered today for the boys' room. I am loving the fun circle pattern and all of the colors...I think it will go great with everything we have. I am hoping I like it as much in person. More than likely we will probably try to match the blue in the rug for their wall color.

In other fun news, we made an appointment today to get a 3D/4D ultrasound done in August. I am beyond excited and can't wait to get a glimpse of what the two little ones are going to look like!

Gone Shoppin

So who says you have to be having girls to get some good clothes shopping in. Since finding out that the twins are boys, we (or I should say I) have been going a little crazy...I'm just loving all of the cute stuff out in the stores. Most of what I have gotten is all stuff they can wear later (can't pass up a good sale)...I thought I'd share a little of what we have gotten...

Baylor shirts and bears bought by my parents.

Little Sleepers (also from gramma and grampa).

For days when we want to be matchy-matchy.

For our "color-coordinated" days.

For our non matchy-matchy days.

On the room front...Our cribs and dresser are in and now we are just waiting on the rocker and ottoman. When it all gets here we will be heading to Dallas to load it all up and bring it home...can you believe to deliver and set it all up the cost was going to be $750...HELLO!!! The store is just in Dallas and it's not like we live in the sticks.

I keep going back and forth on paint colors, not quite sure what I want to do. I'm pretty sure I may have come to a conclusion today, but that's also what I thought last week, so...who knows what I may come up with tomorrow. We did find some cool letter tiles at Spice to spell their names above their cribs. I can't wait till everything is here...I think it will feel so much more real when it is all done and ready (not that the big growing belly doesn't also make it seem very real)...More pictures to come...

A Visit From My Parents

My parents drove out from California and stayed with us the last two weeks. We had lots of fun eating out (they had to get all the great Texas food), shopping for baby stuff, watching Jeff play church softball, and just hanging out. Here are a few pictures taken by my dad before they left on Saturday. It's crazy to think that the next time we see them the boys will already be here!!

The dogs wanted in on the picture taking too.

The boys love their "g-mama"...the name we jokingly gave to my mom for the dogs. It couldn't be grandma because they go looking for Jeff's mom. Somehow we said g-mama enough that the dogs caught on, so as far as they are concerned that is her name...my dad's is "p-daddy." As fun as it is for the dogs, this will NOT be what Ethan and Evan call them.

The best picture we could get. I think the four of them may miss my parents more than we do...two extra people to rub bellies, scratch backs, jump on the bed with in the morning...does it really get any better?!? Can't wait to see y'all again in November!

Jeff Turns 33

I'm two weeks late with these pics but better late than never right? Jeff turned 33 on July 2nd. We went with my parents and Cathy, Trey and the girls to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then back to our house for brownies and ice cream.

Ultrasound Video

First I have a correction to the pictures I posted of the boys...not quite sure what I was doing, but both were of Ethan (baby A). Here is the one I have of Evan (baby B).

Also, I have the video of the ultrasound. It's about 5 minutes...not sure if anyone but family wants to watch, but it's there for your viewing pleasure. Towards the end the sonographer was able to get a shot where you can see both of the baby's hearts beating at the same time, which I thought was pretty cool.

We Have Names

The boys' names are going to be...

Ethan James Burchfield

and

Evan Thomas Burchfield

Both first names are names we just really liked, no relation to family. For their middle names...James is my grandpa's middle name and Thomas is for Jeff's dad and pappaw. They go by their middle names but both of their first names are Thomas.

Snips and Snails

The Burchfield BOYS are on their way!!! I will forever be outnumbered with Jeff, four boy dogs, and two little boys, which is fine by me. Our ultrasound went great on Tuesday. It is always so exciting to get to see the babies. Even though I couldn't wait to know what we were having, I was more nervous to know that they were both growing as they should and healthy. Everything looked wonderful...we saw their hearts, stomachs, kidneys, brains, bones, etc...all perfect (I have a DVD of the ultrasound and will put it up when I figure out the whole video posting thing).

We are beyond excited to have our future Baylor baseball players/class of 2030 on the way. This entire time I told Jeff I was pretty sure we had two boys, which is perfect...everyone we know is having boys and my brother's two kiddos are boys...they will have many little friends to play with. I can't wait to watch them grow up (but not too fast) and be best friends.

My 19 week belly shot

I definitely feel like my belly is looking bigger...come October I will probably look at this picture and laugh at how I thought I was huge. My doctor said I am measuring around 24 weeks and I also gained 10 pounds from my last doctor's visit (only 3 1/2 weeks earlier)...I almost fell off the scale when I saw what it said. I'm not quite sure how I got there, but my doctor wasn't concerned and said we would worry if it had been something like 17. Really it is just a sign to me that the boys are growing and everything is good...now, if it becomes 10 pounds every month I might freak out.

We are pretty sure we have the boys' names picked out, but I will keep everyone in suspense and save it for another post. We have also ordered their furniture and it should be here in 8 weeks...hopefully sooner. I can't wait to get started on their room and will post many more pics as we go.
