How Old Are We???

Where were you last night from 1:00-2:00 a.m.? Seems like a simple question. One that would have a logical answer, such as...in bed fast asleep. This is where we should have been, but Baylor beat A&M last night in their 5th overtime. Jeff was wired and drained (he says he felt like he played the game himself), there was no way he was anywhere close to sleeping.

I stayed up for awhile, but by midnight I was done. Jeff was still up...watching ESPN and on the BU message boards. At 12:40 Jeff woke me up to let me know that people were going to meet the team when the bus came back to the Ferrell Center...you know where this is going...five minutes later we were in the car on our way.

Besides maybe 2 other people and the news crew, Jeff and I were the oldest people there. The rest were all college kids. We were there for about 30 minutes before the team arrived, so we waited in the car and watched all the kids. It was pretty funny watching everyone...it brought back many memories from our days at Baylor. It hit us while sitting there...that was us 10 YEARS AGO. Not that we are that old, but last night made 20 seem like a lifetime ago. Oh well, someday we can tell our kids how we were still cool at 30 and went to meet the basketball team at 1:00 in the morning with all the young folk.
