The Waiting Game

Everything went great on Monday with our embryo transfer. The embryos are frozen two by two and then thawed out two by two. The first two thawed out beautifully and the embryos did whatever embryos are supposed to do once unfrozen. We left the other four frozen for future use and transferred our two...now we continue to wait. One of the hardest parts of the whole infertility road is the waiting. Ten days is really not that long, but when you really want to know something it is an eternity. Jeff at least gets to go to work to pass his time. Me...I get to sit at home and just count down the days, hours, and minutes until next Thursday. I can't do any form of exercise until we find out if I am pregnant. This my normal stress release, so I have had to find other things to do to help myself not go completely crazy. Here are a few things I have done to occupy my time...

1. Shop for a new washer and dryer...could it get any more exciting?? Really for me it can't! And no matter what it is, what girl doesn't like to shop? I have been wanting the new LG (cherry red) washer and dryer for forever. How lucky I am that our washing machine broke :)

2. Take lots of naps...not too different from any other day.

3. Meet Jeff for lunch

4. Watch a lot of TV...I am loving that all my favorites are now on...The Bachelor, American Idol, CSI, Biggest Loser, Lost

5. Play with the dogs...never a dull moment with all four

Still on the agenda...I am going to see Marley and Me today (so excited!!), Baylor Basketball is tomorrow, and I am thinking about getting my hair cut.

"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith...Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:22-23

As a fellow IVFer I agree that the waiting is the hardest part....which when you take into consideration all the other stuff is saying a lot. I'll be saying prayers for some "sticky" embryos and strong beta numbers.

I too long for a red front loading washer and dryer! :)
