Hanging With the Grandparents

I love living in Texas...the food is better by a mile, the people are nicer, it's just a great place to live. Aside from the weather the only thing that I really miss about California is that I don't get to see my family on a regular basis. My grandparents came to visit last February and that was the last time we had seen them. The last time we saw my Grandma Love was over a year ago at Christmas. Like I've said before...they are all going to wake up one day and find that I have moved them to Waco.

On the way home to San Diego we drove along the coast. We stopped at Wayfarers Chapel...a beautiful glass chapel overlooking the water. Had we gotten married in California this is where I would have wanted the wedding to be...so, so pretty. The picture does not do it justice.

The Saturday before we came back to Texas we got to see my Grandma Love and go to lunch with her. She made Jeff some of her yummy pralines (one of his favorites) which was a great treat to have on the airplane flying home.

So that was our week long trip...lots of hanging out with eating, eating and more eating. It always goes by so fast. As soon as you get there it's time to turn around and come home. We loved seeing everyone and can't wait until Christmas when we get to go out to Cali again!
