Below are a few pictures of what we have been up to lately...
We watched our friend's dogs for a weekend a few weeks ago and our bedroom looked like a doggy day care. Our dogs get bones but not toys because they are destroyed in a matter of minutes. Imagine the pure heaven our four were in when the basket of toys arrived with the dogs.

We have also been doing a little decorating. After 2 1/2 years in our house, we finally hung the picture over our fireplace. I then needed something for the bare mantle and got these candlesticks at a store in Salado called Horsefeathers. I LOVE this store...so much like Spice here in Waco but cheaper.

New candles for the dining room table.
New lamps for the buffet in the dining room.
All I need to add is the runner (which is linen and never seems completely ironed) and curtains.Several girls at our church are having babies this summer. We had a shower last Monday for Carly (third from the left) who is having a boy in June and a shower last night for Shana (second from the right) who is also having a boy in July. Meg (first on the left) is having twin boys this summer as well. My mom is hoping that I break the trend of all boys and one of our two is pink!
Our house won Yard of the Month for our neighborhood for May. This lovely sign now sits in our yard bringing along with it the added pressure of keeping our yard looking perfect.

And lastly...to my family's great pleasure, we are no longer taking our trip to Mexico. Everything probably would have been OK, but we are still not going. Instead we are staying in Texas and going to Horseshoe Bay Resort. I am quite excited to still be getting to go somewhere to relax by the pool, go to the spa, play putt putt, etc. We may take a day trip to Fredricksburg, which is somewhere I've always wanted to go. It's going to be such a great way to end our May.

I saw your sign last week! Congratulations!
Bryon and I went to Horseshoe Bay last year with his firm. It is lots of fun!
So glad everything is going well!
Ok, my brother getting yard of the month. Never would have believed that if I hadn't seen the picture.
Also, did he hang the picture or did you get someone to do it? It looks great.
Finally, I am so excited to hear everything is going great. Are you feeling any better? I so need to call you.
I think it's for the best that you decided not to go to Mexico and I'm sure your mom is ecstatic.
Love you guys,
Shelli
