OK folks here it is...my lovely 29 week belly shot. I am definitely feeling huge right now to say the least. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything is good, my blood pressure is still low, and I found out I passed my glucose test (hooray, because I couldn't imagine giving up the occasional Cranberry Limeade or Dr. Pepper). I have gained a total of 29 pounds so far which I think isn't too bad considering I'm carrying 2 babies. I am pretty sure that besides my belly it is all in my face, which I have always thought was round and big to begin with. And speaking of the belly...I am measuring 41 weeks...YIKES!! I knew I felt bigger than the average 29 weeker and I have always been around 8 weeks ahead in size, but when my doctor said I was measuring 41 I almost fell off the table...hopefully that means the boys are growing big and strong...I am just terrified of what all the extra stretching is doing to my skin and what it is going to look like after the boys get here. The 41 week size also explains why I am so uncomfortable at night when I sleep and why my back hurts ALL the time...I definitely want the boys to keep cooking as long as possible but I am also definitely ready to not be so uncomfortable anymore. My ticker on the left says I have 72 days left but it is based on 40 weeks, since I won't go past 38 weeks I really only have 58 to go, which I know is going to go by SOO fast.
We have an ultrasound on Thursday morning to check the growth and size of the boys. Last time they were measuring a week ahead of schedule and both were 2 1/2 pounds. Can't wait to see how much bigger they have gotten and will post an update on Thursday...

amy!! you are beautiful!! i haven't seen you in so long!! your pregnancy is reminding me so much of mine!! wow i can't believe you are measuring 41!! i KNOW how uncomfortable you are, and about the stage you are now i was really overwhelmed w/ having a couple of months left and being so big. the end really will be OK though b/c you will just be getting so excited!! and the next appt you very well may measure like 39...i had a couple of appts where i "backtracked" like that and dr. r said w/ 2 they can just get in different positions which would cause you to measure bigger/smaller. oh yeah and yay on the weight gain!! that sounds just like mine too. i ended up at 39 lbs, about a lb a wk avg and it grew some pretty good sized boys!! you are doing SO AWESOME!! you and jeff need to come over some night and get a taste :)!! XOXO
oh yeah p.s. don't worry about the belly skin. the night before i had the boys i was looking at it and was so worried and the next night i had a baby in the NICU...and i realized HOW MUCH it didn't matter. not one bit. and by the way my skin looks no worse than it did after i had sophie, even though i had 2 babies. it will totally go back :).
You look beautiful! Keep those boys cooking for as LONG as you can! Your body is amazing at all of the things that it can do & you will be so surprised at just how qickly you will look like your old self again! :)
You are so blessed, & I will continue to pray for you & the boys.
