OUR LITTLE GRADUATE

I meant to post this last Wednesday but with my parents here I just haven't gotten around to it.  As of July 7th Ethan no longer has to wear his DOC Band!!  He is an official graduate.  He has actually outgrown it and is borderline for needing another one and we haven't decided yet if we will do it.  For now though he gets to enjoy the summer heat helmet free, which I am very happy about.  It was getting gross nasty smelling (you can see the sweat stains in the pic below).  The cleaning once a day with rubbing alcohol didn't help too much.

Can you tell we might just be a little happy!

Another toy perhaps??

The funniest thing about the whole DOC Band experience...Ethan's "head on a stick."  They made an actual mold of his head and used it to compare his head shape at office visits.  It just made me laugh every time we went to an appointment and they came to get us with his head in hand.  I didn't think we would get to keep it and was quite excited when they handed it to us on Wednesday...not that it is of any use to us but I think it is kind of fun to have!

Leave it to Ethan to actually find a use for it...if you give him something for long enough it will always end up in his mouth!
