WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' VEGGIES!

Peas and carrots...two veggies not exactly on the top of my veggie list.  I'll eat them but neither are my first choice.

Apparently they are not this guy's first choice either.  This picture was taken at the end of eating.  Evan had many other things on is tray...bananas, cheerios, cheese.  Notice that everything else is gone and all that is left are the peas and carrots.  I tried feeding him a few and they just came back out...the typical pattern for veggies with him.  I thought it was just a texture thing getting used to chewing different foods instead of all the baby food, but he has no problem with pears, bananas, peaches, grapes, beans, grilled cheese sandwiches, mac n' cheese, cereal bars...I could just keep on going.  I'm thinking he is going to take after his daddy in the veggie department.

All smiley thinking he is so grown up and doesn't have to eat the veggies!

And then you have this guy...notice the empty tray.  There is a reason he has passed Evan in the weight department...the little dude will eat anything.  The title of this post should have been "I don't need no stinkin' veggies" because Ethan is quite the opposite.  He even loves broccoli which I thought all kids hated!  He just gobbles it right up.

So happy at eatin' time!

neither of my kiddos like veggies so a friend sent me this awesome cookbook called Deceptively Delicious, and it works for us! it teaches you how to sneak in veggies to ordinary meals...even brownies!! :)
