We took a little trip to the zoo yesterday with the Schneiders. This weekend we were all supposed to be out of town together enjoying ourselves by the pool but because of the weather we canceled and just hung out in Waco. It was the boys first time going to the zoo and I was so excited to take them. The weather was perfect, it wasn't crowded and we all had a great time seeing all of the animals. We will definitely be going back many, many more times.
Best Buds...Emmie and Ethan ready to go.
Checking out the tigers. I guess we haven't seen too many pictures of tigers because Ethan at first was calling them "zebras."
Our attempt at a group picture on the Komodo Dragon...Evan was more than thrilled!
Explaining to Ethan all about the Meerkats...he thought it was funny watching them dig their holes so fast.
My favorite...I love the giraffes.
Looking at the snakes...my LEAST favorite part of the trip. The world would be so much nicer if all snakes lived behind big glass walls.
The "Baylor Bear" as the boys were calling him.
Getting the stare down...a little scary. I was glad to have a fence between the two of us.
Ethan having an up close encounter with a bison eating plants right by the fence.
Having fun on the slide at the end of our trip.
These are some seriously tired and hungry faces...can you tell we are just a little worn out from our morning?
On the way out of the park we stopped in the gift shop to let the kiddos pick out something and we left with two snakes...we of course have had a few discussions about how we don't touch real snakes but they just love the stuffed animal ones. Since getting them they have gone with us to lunch, been carried around everywhere, and when we got back from dinner {sans kiddos :)} I found the boys asleep with them in their cribs.
A few family pics before heading to lunch.
So long zoo...can't wait until next time!
