Disneyland Day Two

We were up before the sun for day two of our trip to Disneyland.  All the boys could talk about was going back to see Mickey Mouse and ride on the Peter Pan ride (the last ride of the night from day one and by far the boys' favorite).  When we got there the lines for Snow White and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride were really short so we went on those two first thing to get them out of the way...BIG MISTAKE!  I don't remember them being really dark and kind of scary, but they were.  I wasn't too thrilled about them so I can only imagine what it was like for Ethan and Evan.  It totally ruined the rest of Evan's ride experience...all day long he repeated "I not ride this ride" or "I not go on this one" while we waited in line.  I felt so bad for him but also didn't want him to miss out on the other fun rides.  In the pic below you can see the difference between my two children...Ethan pointing to Dumbo the Elephant and Evan thinking "do I really have to do this."

Evan tends to do better and freaks out less when I'm not around so the boys rode Dumbo with Jeff while I waited with the rest of the crew.  He, of course, cried while getting on and waiting for it to start but then was fine once they got going.

And then there was Ethan...hands up and loving every minute of it.

On the Jungle Cruise, much more Evan's speed.  The boys love animals so this was a perfect ride for them.

After the jungle cruise we took the boys on Pirates of the Caribbean...my favorite ride growing up.  I was a little worried about Evan with the hills and it being darker inside but he liked it.  The ride wouldn't have been complete without getting some pirate swords so we could be pirates at home.  We could have left after getting the swords and the boys would have been happy.

My cousin Kelly with Ethan.

We debated taking the boys on the Haunted Mansion but my cousin and aunt had ridden it before we got to Disneyland and told us it way less scary.  From October through Christmas it is decorated from the movie Nightmare Before Christmas.  There were pumpkins, presents, jack-o-lanters, etc. everywhere.  It was pretty cool and I think I may actually like it more all decorated than just normal.  The boys thought it was so funny to see a bunch of jack-o-lanterns singing songs.

Ethan, Mr. Adventure, riding a roller coaster in Toon Town.

Pretending to drive the Toon Town cars.  Ethan at one point looked over at Evan and said "c'mon, lets drive to Taco Tuesday like mama."  Think we go to Rosa's a little too often?!?!

Riding the Rockets...even with his eyes closed because of the sun his hands were still up!

Waiting in line for Peter Pan one last time.

After dinner and watching the Main Street Parade, we finished off our trip by going back over to Cars Land to see it all lit up at night.  It is definitely much cooler to see at night time.

Saying goodbye to Lightning McQueen.

Our tired boys ready to go home and get some sleep.

So long Disneyland, we had so much fun!
