Twenty Ten

2010...hard to believe it's here. A decade in the 2000's...so much has happened in our lives over the past ten years. I remember our New Years back during all the Y2K hullabaloo...we spent it with Jeff's sister at her house in Houston while Steve worked (just in case the world came to an end). We had only been dating a year, I was still in college and Jeff in law school...we have come so far from 12-31-99. Here are a few things we have experienced over the last 10 years...

I graduated from Baylor in 2000 and spent the next seven years teaching kindergarten.

We got engaged August 13, 2000 and then married July 28, 2001.

Jeff graduated from law school February 2002 and went to work for Haynes & Boone.

We moved to Houston and bought our first house.

We became an aunt and uncle four times.

We adopted our first "baby" in 2003 and then adopted another, and another, and another...each time I thought "what did we get ourselves into."

Moved back to Waco so Jeff could work for Curves...sold the first house and built another.

Faced infertility issues for nearly 3 years.

Gave birth to two amazingly beautiful boys...miracles from God.

10 years of ups and downs...life not always as I had planned but so much better than I could have hoped it to be. How blessed we have been. I am so looking forward to what 2010 has to hold...enjoying my boys and watching them grow.
