Horseshoe Bay...Day One

We went on our second annual trip to Horseshoe Bay with the Schneiders last week. Last year when we went I was 13 weeks pregnant and miserably sick...it was awesome and relaxing but I spent quite a bit of time in the bathroom. This year even with the craziness of kids I still had so much more fun. Allie starts kindergarten in the fall so this was kind of her last hurrah before becoming a "big" kid and going to school. We left after the girls' last day of school on Tuesday afternoon. The first place they wanted to go...THE POOL, of course!

It was the boys' first time in the pool and I was very curious how they would do. They love the bath so I figured the pool would be just the same. Unfortunately the heater was broken so the water was C.O.L.D. The hot tub was better but still semi cold. Evan liked it OK and chilled in his little floaty boat...

Ethan did alright but didn't love it. I think he was tired, plus his eyes got irritated from the sunblock. He was in for a few minutes but then hung out with me on the lounge chairs.

Poor baby having no fun!

Allie taking time out to pose for the camera.

Evan chillin with Cathy.

After swimming we went to dinner at the Bluebonnet Cafe and got some awesome, home cooked, southern food...chicken fried steak, pot roast, chicken and dumplings, homemade pie...YUMMY! (wish I had a few pictures)

Playing Disney Yahtzee before bed.

Evan hanging with the big folks while we played regular Yahtzee. He woke up screaming around 10:30 and I couldn't get him to calm down so he just hung out with us for a while. And can you believe this was Jeff's first time playing Yahtzee? I loved this game as a kid. He did not come from a game playing house...if you asked what games he played while growing up his response would be...baseball, basketball, etc. What fun he is going to have when I start buying board games for the boys!

Day Two and more pool pics coming soon...
