Breakfast with my Boys

I am not a breakfast person...never have been.  Sleep has always been way more important to me.  When I was in school and when I worked getting myself up earlier to include breakfast in my morning routine was out of the question.

Enter the picture two little boys who LOVE breakfast and go running to the top of the stairs when I say "lets go eat breakfast" and my tune has changed quite a bit.  Breakfast time is quickly becoming one of my favorite times of the day...especially now that they are sitting like big boys at the kitchen table.

I love just sitting there with them, early in the morning before the day takes off, eating our food...just the three of us.  It doesn't seem like anything special {all we are doing is sitting and eating} but there is something about our breakfast time that I cherish.

A few years from now when they are in school and mornings are a little more crazy I know it won't be the same which makes me love and enjoy our lazy breakfasts even more.

I love that the cars always have to be at the table with us.

I love how they wave to each other from across the table.

I love how they fold their hands together to pray when I put their plates in front of them.

I love the funny things they say to me and each other {often a bunch of jibberish that only they seem to understand}.

Without a doubt breakfast is definitely one of my favorite times with my boys.
