Five Months

We are FIVE MONTHS OLD!! Crazy big...we are growing up so fast. These pictures were not actually taken on April 9th, we were in California and I didn't get around to taking any. I took them today and figure a week and a half late will have to do. Before giving an update on where we are at five months here are a bunch of outtakes from today...

Ethan on the go...

"What...you want me to stop and smile for a picture?" (and don't you love his spit up all over...if I changed his clothes every time he spit up we would go through 10 outfits a day. So I may be a horrible mother for not changing him every 5 minutes but that's how we roll.)

"It's OK mom, I've got Ethan. He's not going anywhere."

"I've had enough! Aren't you done already?"

"It's OK brother, she'll eventually be done."

"Don't you know...SHE'S. NEVER. DONE!"

So, here's where we are at 5 months old...

* Rolling over back to tummy and tummy to back, which means we are everywhere. This also makes for some interesting diaper changes and fun while trying to get dressed.

* Ethan is drinking 8 ounces at each feeding and Evan is drinking 7 1/2, four times a day.

* Sleeping is still going good.

* Both have discovered their voices, making sounds all of the time...the higher pitched screeching the better.

* Both have also discovered how to put their lips together to make sounds and "spit." This makes feeding time AWESOME!!

* Ethan loves his feet and holds on to them ALL OF THE TIME. Evan knows his feet are there and will stare at them, move them, etc. He will grab them while sitting but hasn't figured out how to get to them while on his back.

* Evan is getting really good at sitting, not by himself yet, but he is almost there.

* He also like to "rock" while sitting and thinks it is hilarious when he gets himself going.

* Ethan has become a little "scooter" which is his way of getting around. I am sure crawling will be here in no time.

* Ethan's favorite way to sleep...tucked in a little ball. He gets his arms under him and his legs curled up, with his behind in the air. I can't even imagine it is comfortable but he seems to like it.

* Evan likes to suck on the collar of whatever shirt he is wearing...cute and annoying all at the same time.

* Both are really beginning to notice the dogs more and think they are hilarious. Some of the best laughing has come from them watching the dogs play.

* Both are wearing 3-6 month clothes and some 6-9 month size. Most 6-9 stuff is still too big except for all of their onsies, which they can wear both sizes.

Some of our firsts this month...

* Our first overnight away from home at Grandpa's in Houston.

* Cereal

* Plane ride to California

* First official time for both in the church nursery while we were in big church

Oh the fun we are having...and the next update means we are halfway to a year. Where does the time go?
