Ethan at 6 Months

Oh my silly, silly child. I want to just wrap him up and keep him this age forever. Here is everything about Ethan and where he is at 6 months...

He is wearing 6-9 month clothes although he does not come close to filling them out. A lot are still too big for him. It's not his length but his waist that is still so itty bitty.

He is still so much lighter than Evan...always has been, but I feel like the difference is starting to show more now as they get a little older. They have always been the same length but Ethan is now a bit shorter I think. I have not a clue how much he weighs and am very curious to find out on Wednesday at the boys' 6 month check up.

He is wearing size 2 diapers.

He drinks 8 ounces at each feeding four times a day. He loves his bottle and will almost jump out of my arms, the chair, Jeff's lap, etc. when he sees it coming. He reaches for it before it gets to him and won't give it up until it is completely empty.

He doesn't like to hold his bottle. He would much rather me just do it for him. When I am burping Evan, I usually let Ethan hold his empty bottle and play with it so he gets used to having it in his hands.

Eating food is definitely another one of his favorites besides the bottle. It took him a little longer to get used to the whole concept but now that he's got it watch out! He's not the most patient of eaters...cries when it's Evan's turn and whines when it's his turn because the food isn't coming fast enough...SO demanding!

Just like brother, he loves apples but is not too fond of the squash. It really is amazing to me that both of them had no problem with peas...I seriously can't stand them. It's one of the few veggies I don't like...so they definitely don't get the love (or at least the tolerance) from me.

He is a blanket baby (just like his mama).

His laugh is HILARIOUS...everything is funny to him. I LOVE his cackles and high pitched squeals.

Has started doing the "spitting" thing that Evan has been doing for a while.

Sucks on his bottom lip like in the picture above.

He is extremely mobile and squirmy...wants to be doing something or going somewhere all the time. You can't just sit with him in your lap...WAY TOO BORING for him.

He has been rocking on all fours for a few weeks now, but isn't crawling yet. He moves around on his belly almost like an inch worm...puts his arms out, pulls his legs under him, and then pushes his body forward with his legs.

He loves to roll and if he is not "inching" his way everywhere he is rolling.

He is not sitting on his own yet but is getting so much better. I am convinced he is going to crawl before he figures out how to sit.

His eyes at the moment look green to me, but I know they can still change. With me having brown eyes I'm sure his will eventually also be brown.

His first tooth is coming in...bottom left (his left) and I feel like it is taking forever. You can see the white under his gums it just hasn't popped out yet. This causes him to want to have his hand in his mouth at all times (as you can see from a few of these pictures).

He goes to bed at 8:00 and wakes up around 7:00-7:30. He sometimes will fuss a little earlier in the morning (5:30-6:00) but goes back to sleep. He usually wakes up crying, but recently has woken up a few mornings happy and talking to himself. I will be so excited if this is a sign of what is to come.

He loves to play on his tummy with his toys. Some of his favorites...his elephant, crinkle book, rattles, all of our noisy toys, and anything that Evan is playing with (not sure we will be a very good sharer).

He still cries when he goes to sleep sometimes. I think it is just part of his going to sleep process and how he gets comfortable. He is a good napper (morning and afternoon).

Ethan your energy and enthusiasm are contagious. You make me smile, laugh, and find the joy in life every day. I LOVE YOU!
