After all of our morning birthday festivities we brought the boys home to take a nap and get well rested for dinner and more celebrating...usually they are great nappers but for the entire time I could hear the two of them playing, talking, laughing, hitting the letters on the wall above their cribs. With all of my decorating for their party, getting presents, having donuts for breakfast, doing fun stuff all day, etc. I think they were just too excited to sleep...and who could blame them...I wouldn't want to sleep either.
For dinner we went to Chuy's...a family favorite. The boys LOVE going there and always eat great...even Evan, my crazy picky eater, chows down. We feasted on yummy fajitas, Ethan dipped everything {his newest obsession} in creamy jalapeno and salsa, and we finished with some birthday sopapillas. This picture just cracks me up...two year olds and cute family pictures just never seem to happen.
When we got back home we sang Happy Birthday to the boys with a Cookie Cake...it's not a birthday in our house without cookie cake...SO YUMMY!
And finally we ended the day by opening a few more presents...lots more Cars stuff of course.

Our favorite present of the day...our Mack trucks. They open up to carry a little McQueen which the boys thought was so cool. These Mack trucks have managed to go to bed with the boys many a night since their birthday...they LOVE them.
Celebrating the boys turning two was a busy, fun, awesome, special day. I loved every minute of the day we spent as a family. It's amazing to me how fast two years has gone and how much they have changed and grown. Can't wait to see what the next year holds...HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY ETHAN AND EVAN. I LOVE YOU!!
