Let the Summer Fun Begin

A lot has been going on since the last time I posted.  The biggest change for our little family is that we sold our house last month and are starting the process of building a new house.  The next biggest and exciting change is that my parents are moving here in the fall from California (HOORAY!).  They have already bought their super cute house and it has worked out perfectly for us to move in and live there while we are building.  Jeff and I are probably the only two crazies out there that like to build houses and, while I will miss our old house, I am so excited to get started on the next one.  We actually took our old house, made a few changes, and are building it all over again.  The only difference...our lot backs up to a whole bunch of trees and the river.  The boys and the dogs are going to LOVE it!

Mother's Day Out also ended for us this week, which means the summer fun has begun! The boys will start Three Year Old Pre-School in August, so we have a few months of rest and relaxation ahead of us.  I'm not one for the miserable heat we have headed our way so I'm focusing on all of the fun coming up instead.  We have swimming lessons coming up, a trip planned to Turks and Caicos with some friends, my parents are visiting in August, and we are anxiously awaiting for the movie Planes to come out too.  I'm sure there will be many trips to the park, zoo, Mayborn Museum, and lots of playtime with friends.  There will definitely be lots of Sonic slushies, trips to get ice cream, and maybe a few snow cones too!  We are looking forward to a fun few months!

Last weekend we bought the boys a small pool to go in the backyard.  They love baths, their water table, the water room at the Mayborn...basically anything involving water keeps them entertained for hours and hours.  We didn't fill it up all the way because the water was crazy cold but they had so much fun playing and splashing.  They have asked to get back in the pool every day this week.  I feel like I haven't taken many pictures of them recently, so I got my camera out and took a few of them having some water fun...

Can't wait for the many more lazy, barefoot summer days we have ahead of us!
